Kāpiti Impact Trust (KIT) is a Charitable Trust actively involved in the Kāpiti Coast community since 2006.
We feel that we have an opportunity to be part of helping people of the Kapiti Coast community to thrive in life.
We value a holistic approach to our work based on the Whare Tapa Wha model and want to work with our community to increase well-being for all.
Our three strategic priorities are families, young people and working to build collaboration and effectiveness across Kapiti’s Community and Social Sector.
We established Ngahina Family Centre, a community hub, in 2008. It is now known as Kāpiti Impact Hub and has expanded to involve 11 other community organisations as tenants and many others as regular users. The major Programmes that our trust facilitates are the Incredible Years Parent Programme and Challenge for Change. And most recently we have added the Incredible Years Autism to our programme offering.
